Mr.Nagendra Kumar Vepuri was a top level bureaucrat in the Govt. of India service.He worked as Under Secretary in New Delhi in Council of Scientific and Industrial Research which is headed by the Prime Minister of India.
Mr.Nagendra Kumar Vepuri left his highly paid Govt. job at the age of 45 years only to take feature film making as his full time profession because of his creative talent and urge to reach the world class audience.
He studied P G Diploma course in Acting from Central University of Hyderabad.
He got training in Film making techniques and Direction from the famous Film and TV Institute of India ,Pune (popularly known as Poona Film Institute) personnel in Mumbai University.
He attended several work shops on Script writing and Film making techniques conducted by famous Institutes and attended several Film Festivals.
Mr Nagendra Kumar Vepuri is well known to several Film lovers through his several informative articles published in Film weekly 'Studio Round Up' and also in the " Film Trade Guide' published from Hyderabad.
Mr Nagendra Kumar Vepuri received GEM OF INDIA Award in 2000, the Millenium Year at All India Achievers' Conference, New Delhi in recognition of his
commendable contributions to the youth by coaching thousands of candidates for their success in various competitive examinations through 27 branches of the popular coaching Institute viz. Hyderabad School of Banking (HSB Group of Educational Institutions ) in the capacity of its Founder Chairman. He is also well known as a Personality Development Trainer, Youth Motivator besides being a reputed Artist with his valuble paintings which are exhibited in several Art Galleries in the country..
The script of 'O..Chinnari Korika' written by Mr Nagendra Kumar Vepuri was appreciated by the A P Film Development Corporation and approved for making a feature film by offering financial subsidy..
In this film O..Chinnari Korika, Mr.Nagendra Kumar Vepuri has successfully handled 8 areas viz. The Story, The Dialogues, The Music, The Lyrics, The Play Back Singing ,The Screen Play, The Direction besides playing the role of Ramesh in the film.
The story line is life of the film, the dialogues so simple and casual, the music so melodious, the lyrics so meaningful with great message, the play back singing so impressive and haunting, the screenplay so tight without causing slightest bore even for a minute, the direction-so excellent and finally his action as Ramesh with devotional touch and emotional burst is highly commendable.
